Terms of Service
Last updated: April 19, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using PodBright ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Personal Use Only
PodBright is a personal accessibility tool designed for personal, non-commercial use. You may submit emails, newsletters, articles, PDFs, and web content to the Service solely for your own private listening — the same way you might use a screen reader or text-to-speech tool. You must not use the Service to process, distribute, or republish content that you do not have the right to use.
3. Your Responsibility for Content
You are solely responsible for any content you submit to PodBright. By submitting content, you represent that you are authorized to access and view that content and that processing it for your own personal listening does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights. PodBright does not screen, review, or take responsibility for submitted content.
You agree not to submit content that:
- Infringes any third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
- You do not have permission to access or reproduce for personal use
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, or violates any applicable law
- Was obtained by circumventing digital rights management (DRM) protections
- You intend to redistribute, share, or publish beyond your own private listening
4. Copyright and Content Rights
Content submitted to PodBright belongs to its respective authors and publishers. PodBright converts content to audio solely as a personal accessibility tool. Source text is discarded after audio is generated — only a brief AI-generated summary is retained as episode metadata.
Your private RSS feed URL and generated audio files are for your personal use only. You agree not to share your RSS feed URL or audio files with others, as your feed may contain content for which you do not hold redistribution rights.
5. AI Processing
PodBright uses artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs) to rewrite submitted content for audio listening. This includes summarization, reformatting, and language simplification. By submitting content, you consent to it being processed by these AI systems. PodBright does not use your submitted content to train AI models.
6. Third-Party Services
PodBright uses third-party services to deliver functionality, including Unreal Speech (text-to-speech), Cloudflare (email routing and storage), Supabase (database and authentication), and Render (hosting). Your use of PodBright is subject to those services' terms and privacy policies. Content you submit is transmitted to and processed by these services.
7. No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, successful conversion of every submission, or compatibility with every podcast app. We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PodBright and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any loss of data, failed conversions, or third-party claims related to content you submitted. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you are violating these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. DMCA / Copyright Takedown Policy
PodBright respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you believe content processed through PodBright infringes your copyright, you may submit a written takedown notice to our designated DMCA agent.
Takedown notices must include:
- Your name and contact information (email, phone, or mailing address)
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
- Identification of the specific infringing content and where it is located
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Send takedown notices to our designated agent (Unna Muthiah, PodBright): dmca@podbright.ai (Registration No. DMCA-1071705)
Counter-notification: If you believe content was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter-notification. Counter-notifications must include your name and contact information, identification of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake, and your physical or electronic signature. Send counter-notifications to the same address above.
We will respond to valid notices promptly and remove content as required by law. Accounts with repeat copyright violations will be terminated.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 19, 2026
1. What We Collect
- Account data: your email address and authentication details (via Google OAuth or email/password through Supabase).
- Submitted content (temporary): the subject, sender, and body of content you submit is held in memory during processing only. After audio is generated, source text is discarded and not stored.
- Episode metadata: a short AI-generated summary, episode title, sender name, and timestamp — retained as episode description in your feed.
- Generated audio: MP3 files created from your submitted content, stored in Cloudflare R2 and linked to your private RSS feed.
- Preferences: your podcast mode, episode length, and difficulty settings.
- Usage data: basic request logs (timestamps, status codes) for operational and debugging purposes.
2. How We Use It
We use your data solely to provide the Service: converting submitted content to audio and delivering it to your private RSS feed. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. AI and Third-Party Processing
Submitted content is processed by AI systems — including large language models (LLMs) for rewriting and summarization, and neural text-to-speech for audio generation. This involves transmitting content to third-party providers.
- Unreal Speech — text-to-speech audio generation
- Cloudflare — email routing and audio file storage (R2)
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Render — application hosting
Each provider has their own privacy policy. We do not use your submitted content to train AI models.
4. Data Retention
Source text (email body, article content, PDF content) is discarded immediately after audio is generated — it is never stored long-term. Episode summaries, audio files, and metadata are retained until you delete the episode or close your account. Deleting an episode removes it from our database and storage. Closing your account removes all associated data.
5. Security
Your RSS feed is protected by a private token in the URL — only you have this URL. Do not share your feed URL publicly. We use HTTPS for all data in transit and Supabase row-level security for data isolation between users.
6. Your Rights
You can delete individual episodes from your dashboard at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at hello@podbright.ai. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Children
PodBright is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
